a book proposed

Today, I emailed my book proposal to my agent, who has been just lovely to me.

It's a strange, strange thing to propose a book. But now I've done and gone and proposed and sent my book-to-be out into the world like a new hatchling. My little fuzzy bookling is now in my agent's capable, virtual hands, and he'll tell me what, if anything, I need to do to it to make it marketable, which is a weird concept in and of itself. It's all very odd, and now I think I might go breathe heavily into a paper bag for about fifteen minutes until the room ceases its pointless spinning.

Just thought I'd share.

Sounds good.

Good luck, CG. I hope everything goes well. :)

Congratulations and best of luck!

Thank you, one and all. It's hard to type with the fingers crossed, but I'm doing my best. I very much appreciate all of your good thoughts.

here's to doing it free for money!

Now that I've moved past bitterness, jealousy, (potential) Shadenfreude, and a sticky pile of self-loathing and regret, I can genuinely say congratulations and best of luck. Here's hoping you snag a big ole fat advance that enables you to keep yourself in the manner to which you are accustomed, or better. It couldn't happen to a finer or more dedicated writer.

Dude, I know the feeling parfait: bitterness, jealousy, potential shadenfreude, loathing and regret. It's a dish I've eaten early and often. Thanks for getting past your helping to wish me well, and if I can do it--and that still remains to be seen--you can too.
